The sea mile route – walking tour at Holbæk Harbour

FB Holbæk Havn 1

The Sømileruten is a walking tour with living stories at Holbæk Harbour. The route follows the entire harbor stretch with many historical details.

The knowledgeable guides are Finn Andersen and Søren Munkholm Jensen from Holbæk Træskibslaug. The "Sømileruten" is, as the name suggests, a walking route of 1 nautical mile (1,852 km). Today it runs from Holbæk Harbour's western boundary at Holebæk, along the entire harbor stretch and ends at Labæk close to the Annex Harbour. Finn Andersen and Søren Munkholm Jensen tell about the port's history from the first reliable accounts of Holbæk Ship Bridge from 1328, about the Old Port's transformation into the New Port (Trafikhavnen) from the 1920s. Today, everything has changed in Nye Havn with 500 homes and more leisure activities.

ATTENTION!! We finish at Annekshavnen and have to go back. The hike is thus a total of 3,7 km.

Meeting point:  "Gl. Harbour” on Midtermolen.

It is necessary to buy a ticket in advance. The sea mile route is not suitable for people with walking difficulties.
