City walk – Slagelse during the occupation

Occupation period items

When the Germans came! City walk in Slagelse with stories about the city during the occupation 1940-45, where ordinary people lived in extremely unusual conditions.

On the tour around the city, there are stories about some of the human destinies that the war shaped - from the mayor to the Falckmanden. People fought for their own beliefs – for or against the Germans – and former neighbors and friends became enemies, with fatal consequences for some at the end of the occupation.

We meet at the Slagelse Museum and finish outside the city.

It is necessary to buy a ticket in advance.
