City walk - Sorø occupied and liberated 1940-45

Flowers on the road after the tragedy in the Albert Cross

City walk in Sorø during the occupation 1940-45. Hear about risking your life in the fight against the German occupiers and about rationing and curfews.

The 5 dark years during the occupation left their mark on Sorø. The city's citizens lived with deprivation, fear, blackouts and curfews, and those who resisted the German occupation force lived a dangerous life.

Some were shot.

Hear their stories and also get the story of the fatal event at Albertikrydset on 5 May 1945.

On the city walk, there is a stop at the protective bunker at Værkerne with the opportunity to look inside.

The audience is very welcome to contribute their own or retold experiences.

The trip lasts approx. an hour and a half and is not suitable for people with walking difficulties.

It is necessary to buy a ticket in advance.
