Danefæ – the real deal
Donation from Carlsberg Memorial Grant for production of podcast series.

It is with joy, pride and excited anticipation that Museum Vestsjælland can announce that the museum's archaeological department has received a grant of DKK 199.000 to produce the podcast series 'Danefæ – the real deal'.

Museum Vestsjælland consists of 12 different museums. The archaeological department is the one that has submitted the most finds for Danefairy evaluation at the National Museum in recent years. The archaeologists use all the many detector finds actively in archaeological research, and have an eye for the fantastic, fun and thought-provoking stories that the finds contain.

Museum curator and PhD Trine Borake, who is responsible for Museum Vestsjælland's Danefæ treatment, says that the museum now has the opportunity to share the many stories with the museum's guests and anyone else who wants to listen in the podcast series 'Danefæ – the real deal':

"Here we take a closer look at very special pieces of Danish cattle and unfold the exciting and relevant stories they hold."

The funding is granted by the Carlsberg Memorial Trust, and the company MonoMono is responsible for production. We will begin filming in early 2027, and the series is scheduled to be released in the summer of 2027.
