Museum Vestsjælland opens a new museum in Nykøbing Zealand

Odsherred Museum – new museum in the heart of Nykøbing Zealand opens on 11 October

Welcome to the new Odsherred Museum in the former Grundtvig School. Art and cultural history moves in with the art exhibition Places Like This and the cultural history exhibition GLIMT, which paves the way for a future with exciting art and cultural offerings in the city centre.

In connection with the relocation of the Odsherred Museum from Annebergparken, the historic garden has also slowly started to return home. The museum's beautiful garden has its roots in the original Museum in Nykøbing and was created in 2004
moved to Anneberggård. Now the museum has moved into the buildings of Grundtvigskolen and with it the garden. The beds that are created will be filled with approx. 175 utility plants. Plants that have been used for medicine, dyeing
clothes and in connection with superstitions in the old days. The entire project to transform the gray school yard into a fantastic urban garden has been realized with the support of Nordea-fondens 'Here we grow' pool.
