Colonialism, trade, racism and power relations come under the microscope and are discussed in the process based on the old grocery store and the exhibition West Zealand / West Indies at Holbæk Museum.
In the grocery store at Holbæk Museum, you could once buy cane sugar, rum and tobacco from the West Indies. The goods are still on the shelves, and their visual expression testifies to the racist system the trade was a part of. In the exhibition West Zealand / West Indies, students get to know different destinies from the Danish West Indies.
