CLOUD AND AGUIL IN ODSHERRED
Two strong and unique voices within contemporary art exhibit at Odsherred Art Museum and at Odsherred Museum.

Frederik Næblerød and Casper Aguila created a large exhibition at Odsherred Museum, in Nykøbing Sjælland, in the summer of 2024.
All the artworks for Places Like This was produced on site from recycled materials from the local paint dealer and recycling yard. Huge colorful murals meet photographs, collages, sketches and sculptures.
In 2025, the colorful explosion will be supplemented with another exhibition. This time at Odsherreds Kunstmuseum. All the art in this exhibition is black and white. A sharp contrast – not only to the first exhibition they did in 2024, but also a bold contrast to contemporary art in general. The art and the world are in color – just not in this exhibition.
The two video works in the exhibition Timeline is a retrospective of the two artists' joint projects in Odsherred.
Odsherred holds a special place in Næblerød and Aguila's artistic work. They have stayed and worked here during their summer holidays over the years.
Both artists were noticed when they moved into a storm-ravaged summer house in Korshage (2015-2017), then into a disused agricultural property in Vig (2018-2020). This type of art storm projects usually belong to the big city and the industrial district. But Næblerød and Aguila brought this practice to Odsherred and it caused a stir in the local area.
Both artists exhibit at home and abroad and they have had a number of joint exhibitions at Alice Volker Gallery and in Politikens Forhal. Casper Aguila primarily exhibits abroad: Tokyo, Madrid, Brussels and Paris. Frederik Næblerød is currently exhibiting at ARKEN and participated in the TV program Kunstnerkolonien and the DR series “Ufortyndet”.
The exhibition Timeline can be seen until September 28, 2025 at Odsherreds Kunstmuseum, in the museum's opening hours.
The exhibition Places Like This can be seen throughout the year, until December 21, 2025, at Odsherred Museum, in the museum's opening hours.

Frederik Næblerød (b. 1988) graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Næblerød's works work across several forms of expression, including painting, drawing, sculpture, and off-grid projects. His works are expressive and at times border on the grotesque. The works draw inspiration from the artist's immediate surroundings, which are converted into a wild, quivering energy from the life, people, and things he is surrounded by. An energy that creates relevant works with a wide range of motifs, sizes, materials, and messages.
Casper Aguila (b. 1985) is a photographer and graduated in Fine Arts from the Accademia Italiana in Florence. He works across various media, including film,
photography, installation, sculpture, drawing, and painting. His works capture nature
and people in vulnerable, almost fragile situations. The works convey the situations from a poetic, yet raw perspective. By combining photography, sculpture and painting, he investigates how these classical forms of expression can interact to create space for reinterpretations and new possibilities for the materials.
