Ringsted is famous for the royal tombs in St. Bendt's Church, but not many people know that Christian IV is also strongly connected to the city.
This is because there was a small royal palace at St. Bendt's Church. Christian IV and Frederik II came here to relax, go hunting, manage their horse stud and play board games in the adjacent park.
Therefore, the stories of Christian IV and other forgotten kings in Ringsted are the topic of tonight's lecture.
