Apples are not just apples!
Again this year, KYSØKO Fruit Plantation and Slagelse Museum are holding a grafting course where you can learn how to graft apple trees.
We learn about rootstocks and scions and are instructed in cutting and tying so that the growth surfaces of the new grafts can take hold.
Many of our old varieties have fallen into oblivion as they are not suitable for mass production and distribution.
But the taste and color of apples represent a diversity that is worth preserving. Because apples are not just apples.
Come to a pleasant morning where we take the time to learn an old craft and have fun together!
KYSØKO supplies materials. Grafting twigs and coffee and cake during the break are included in the ticket.
