Opening of Me and my city and The historical garden

Everyone is welcome when we hold a big party and open the Historical Garden and the children's exhibition Me and my city.

On June 12th from 10:00 to 13:00 we will open the doors to two projects supported by Nordea-Fonden. The museum yard will be filled with activities and games, where Geopark Odsherred will also be presented.

Me and My City, – a playful exhibition that will give children insight into their own city through play and learning. The exhibition at Odsherreds Museum is made in collaboration with the Kindergarten Rockets.

The Historic Garden – has now returned. Supported by the Nordea-fonden’s – Here We Grow fund. The gardeners have finished moving over 200 historical plants. So now we can celebrate the transition from abandoned schoolyard to museum yard. The garden, together with the Museum, is the first step towards the old Grundtvig School’s new life as a Cultural Center in Nykøbing. That is why the Geoparken is also participating in the celebration.

10.00 The doors open
10.15 Mayor Hanne Pigonska gives a speech, followed by the Museum's Director Eskil Vagn Olsen.
10.30 The Rockettes cut the ribbon and open the exhibition with a host of games and snacks.

THE HISTORIC GARDEN HAS RETURNED HOME

11.15 The farm opens

• Lurspil by Nykøbing Zealand City Orchestra
• Go, the weaver women, to the beds! Weaver women talking while praying
• The Geopark serves asparagus over a campfire and talks about their work
• Take a string, draw a trail.
  • The artwork draws threads for the major work of renewing Nykøbing's city center.
• Free ongoing tours with Museum Curator Thomas Egeberg Johansen
• Free play in the Museumsgården with hoops, playground and ball games in the old gymnasium.
• Free play in the exhibition 'Me and My City'
