TV2 Øst news broadcast focuses on climate action in Slagelse municipality

Museum curator Hugo Hvid Sørensen talks in the TV2 Øst news broadcast on May 16th about the significance of the plans for nature restoration of Storvejlen and Tude Å.

An excavation of the river will possibly mean that exciting finds may emerge from the ground. When the river was in its original form, it is believed that the Vikings sailed to Trelleborg by ship. Therefore, archaeologists have found remains of ships at the castle – and who knows what else may be hiding nearby.

A possible excavation could give us new information about the area's formation history and how it has been used by people, Hugo Hvid Sørensen says in the feature.
