Sustainable Pop Up - is currently one of Museum Vestsjælland's project titles, where the museum explores the way we convey and represent the museum in the local environment.
Sustainable Pop Up has received support from the Danish Palaces and Culture Agency for this strategic development of Sustainable Museums.
All the projects were gathered in Den Gamle By in Aarhus for knowledge sharing and experience exchange, and the day was filled with exciting presentations from various museums around the country, all of which will work with strategic development and integration of sustainability principles. The projects work with everything from sustainable special exhibitions, sustainable museum magazines, CO2-optimized building concepts to sustainable pop-up communication.
The strategy work is based on cultural, social, environmental and economic sustainability parameters, and aims in the short term to develop a pop-up activity that speaks to the principles of sustainability at Odsherreds Museum's new location in Nykøbing in 2024, and in the long term , to develop a sustainable concept for the museum's pop-up communication.
Museums often spend a lot of resources on communication material, both physical and digital. With the Sustainable Pop Up project, we hope to bring the museum, citizens and local partners closer together in an interaction about the dissemination of both new and recycled knowledge in an activity at the Odsherred Museum in Nykøbing this summer!
Our partners in the project include Odsherred Theatre, Vallekilde College, Museum Middelfart and Middelfart Municipality.
