Application
Cat's tail has been used in folk medicine since the Middle Ages. It has both an astringent and expectorant effect.
Cat's tail has primarily been used for diarrhea. Its use was particularly widespread during the plague epidemics in Europe. Cat's tail has also been used for internal bleeding and to promote wound healing. Cat's tail has been used externally for eczema and itching.
Other uses of cattail have been for dyeing hides and leather and for impregnating wood and rope against rot.
Ingredients
Tannic acid, glucose, salicairine, starch, laevulose, carotene and pectin.
