Application
Traditional use: Diuretic, for kidney disorders, abscesses, eczema and dropsy. The juice sucked up into the nose stops nosebleeds. For dysentery and diarrhea. Hemostatic for heavy menstruation and hemorrhoids. For colic and other gastrointestinal diseases. Strengthening and astringent. The roots have been used to increase sexual activity. For nausea and vomiting.
Antiseptic and astringent effect for skin disorders and wounds.
In folk medicine, yellow snares have been used to treat scabies and scabies in children. The plant was also used in bedding to repel fleas.
Yellow senna has been used to dye linen. It gives a red color to flax.
