Application
Historically used as a blood purifier, for lung and circulatory disorders and for the treatment of urinary tract disorders. Brut herb has also been used for hernias – hence the name (brut is an old term for hernia).
Used as a herbal remedy for high blood pressure and kidney stones.
The plant is strongly diuretic and has been popularly called piss herb.
