Application
Common goldenrod has been used in Europe for about 700 years for urinary tract disorders: inflammation, kidney and bladder stones and as a diuretic. It has also been used, like other diuretic medicinal plants, as a purgative for gout, diabetes and skin diseases.
Goldenrod has also been used for kidney stones, difficulty urinating, and for wound healing and sore throats.
Goldenrod is approved as a herbal medicine with a mild diuretic effect, especially for irritated conditions in the urinary tract.
Ingredients
Common goldenrod contains a variety of flavonoids, saponins, phenolic acids, and a small amount of essential oil, with the main ingredient being cadinene.
