Application

Wildflower was not widely used in medieval monastic medicine. It was only later that it was used as a remedy for fever, diarrhea, and dysentery. It was also eaten to treat scurvy.

Wildflower is an astringent, expectorant, and emollient. It can be used to treat diarrhea and other digestive problems. The leaves can be used to stop bleeding, such as nosebleeds. Wildflower tea can be used as a mouthwash to soothe irritated gums. The tea can also be used as an eye wash for sore and tired eyes.

Wildflower can be used for plant dyeing. The root produces brown dyes and the leaves yellow dyes.
