Application

In medieval monastic medicine, Noble Short-lipped Mallow was used to treat loss of appetite, bronchitis, indigestion, diarrhea, and gout.

Furthermore, it is known that Noble Short Lip has a diuretic, antibacterial and slimming effect.

Noble short-lipped mallow has been used in folk medicine, including as a slimming aid in France and as a tea plant for headaches in England, but since it has been shown that ingestion of the plant can lead to liver inflammation, it is now considered unacceptable for internal use. Noble short-lipped mallow is included in the Danish Food Safety Authority's list of plants that may not be used in foods or herbal medicines.
