Application
Rhodiola rosea has been used as a vitamin supplement. Both the thick fleshy leaves and the root are high in vitamin C.
As a medicinal plant, Rhodiola rosea has been called the "Nordic Rose". The plant is used to reduce stress, treat depression and fatigue, and treat headaches. Some studies also show that Rhodiola rosea may have a cholesterol-lowering effect and that it should be a good aid in weight loss during dieting.
Furthermore, the plant is said to be able to increase a man's potency and prevent premature ejaculation, as well as give both sexes an increased desire for sex.
Rhodiola rosea is registered as a herbal medicine for use in fatigue and convalescence.
