There is free but hourly parking at the museum. 

It's about. 10 minutes walk from Slagelse Station to the museum. 

Availability

Access to parts of the museum can be arranged for people with walking difficulties, please call in advance on 59 43 23 53 or send an email to slagelse@vestmuseum.dk.

However, no access to the shop or to the toilet for wheelchair users.

NOTE: our ramps are only built for manual wheelchairs – and not larger electric models. There is therefore no access to the museum for guests in electric wheelchairs.

The museum does not have a disabled-friendly toilet.

Social presentation of Slagelse Museum makes the visit more accessible

AutismGoTo has created a social presentation of Slagelse Museum to make it easier for people with autism and their networks to plan and carry out a visit. AutismGoTo has visited a number of cultural and experience sites throughout Denmark and created easily accessible materials for each site. A social presentation and an information page can be downloaded so that visitors can prepare as best as possible.

Guests with service dogs are welcome in our exhibitions.

The dog must have visible identification that it is a certified service dog.

We follow the applicable guidelines from the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration and associations such as  Service dogs for the disabled, The Service Dog Association or Trinitas – psychiatric service and therapy dogs
