Sjællands Odde - Peter Willemoes tour
Take a trip on your own along the Odden coast and hear the deadly story of Denmark's great naval hero Peter Willemoes and his brutal end in the battle against the English fleet.
The trip is approx. 14 km. Please be aware that the tour takes place on beach stones and with steep climbs.

The Sankt Bendts tour - In the Hvideslägten and the footsteps of the Valdemars around Ringsted
This beautiful tour follows streams, lakes and marshes north of Ringsted and into the heart of the city to end at the magnificent Sankt Bendts Church. We convey the story of kings, church and wars with an audio narration that frames the landscape in the right medieval atmosphere.
The trip is approx. 15 km.

The Tårnborg trip
Historic walk to Tårnborg castle bank and church at Korsør Nor. This tour goes from Korsør to Tårnborg through areas with lovely birdlife and beautiful views over the river and all the way to the Great Belt Bridge. Along the historical paths, the Marsk Stig path and the Kirkestien, as well as other paths, we tell the story of the noret, the crossing point between Zealand and Funen, piracy and royal power.
The trip is approx. 13 kilometers.

How did I
The three tours are organized as public tours on fixed days during 2023. You simply turn up at the meeting place on the day and join. The tours are free. The first public tour, the Willemoes tour, was held on September 15, 2023. The Sankt Bendts tour was held on September 26, 2023. The Tårnborg tour was held on November 1, 2023. See more info on this page.
The tours are accompanied by audio narrations available for free on this site.
If you didn't make it to the public tours, you can still go on the tour on your own.
We are working on whether we can offer tours with guides in the future.
The trips are each 13-17 kilometers long.
You must expect that on the trips we will walk on both paths, stones, sand, mud and perhaps asphalt.
Come along:
- Hiking boots and clothing for all weather conditions
- Matching backpack
- Lunch box
- Water. Approx. 2 liters and e.g. coffee/tea
- Snacks. Eg. nuts and chocolate
- Seating mat for breaks

A free podcast series is associated with each tour. You simply click the button above. Each series consists of three episodes. The episodes are good little chunks of approx. 8 minutes. We recommend that you listen to the episodes while you are on the hike – then you will get the story where it actually happened. You are of course also welcome to listen to the episodes from home!
