Silent film about enterprising people from Ringsted

Tuesday's TV_ newspapers shoes and high cigars

Ringsted Archive shows silent films about enterprising people in Ringsted in the period 1936-56. Watch a film about Venstres Folkeblad, a shoe company and clips from Ringsted and the surrounding area.

We start with the film "Venstres Folkeblad", which is from 1936. The photographer visits the newspaper's editorial office and follows the making of the daily from the first reports, through the setting room to the printing press, and ends with the newsboys who deliver the news.

Next, we jump to 1942-46, where Herold Halle filmed his enterprising footwear company. A forward-looking company, led by men with high cigar skills.

We end with the film "Life in Lilleby" from 1955-56. The photographer is again Herold Halle, but the focus is on the whole of Ringsted town. The film is a clip from the Halle film "Our Own City".

Lean back in your seats and enjoy the three silent films. The event lasts approx. 1½ hours. Coffee/tea and cake are included in the ticket price. It is necessary to buy a ticket in advance.
