Shield painting – make your own coat of arms

Summer holiday at Kalundborg Museum for children and adults. Get guidance in designing and painting your own coat of arms. Take the shield home with you.

Whether you want a fearsome, royal or completely different design, you can choose the motif for your very personal coat of arms that shows who you are. Use the shield for play or hang it up as decoration.
All materials are included – we provide wooden shields, paint and brushes.

When you're finished with the shield, you can also write a letter with pen and ink, like real knights did in the old days.

Shield painting is a prelude to the upcoming Medieval Festival in Kalundborg on August 15-17.

Be sure of a place and buy a ticket in advance. Remaining tickets are for sale at the door.
