Klostrstræde 18, 4300 Holbæk
Tour with museum inspector Thomas Egeberg Lund Johansen in the museum's exhibition Glimt, which has impact and unique stories from Odsherred.
Eight stories have been selected for the exhibition, spanning from the Bronze Age to the NASA mission to Mars.
Thomas talks about the skeleton from the Iron Age. It was in a woman's grave, and was taken up exactly as the archaeologists found her at Bobjerg near Asnæs. She is about 2.000 years old.
See parts of a hoard (Algadeskatten) with over 3.000 silver coins that have never been exhibited before. The treasure was found in Algade in Nykøbing next to the museum in 1930. It is believed to have been buried around 1290.
Hear some very special stories from Odsherred during World War II. For example, about the resistance woman Mrs. Gideon and the field hospital she had hidden in the attic to use in the fight against the occupying forces. The field hospital is on display.
The exhibition Glimt is the first step on the way in the plans for an exciting art and culture offer, which Thomas will also unveil.
It is necessary to buy a ticket in advance.
