Kulturklubben - The great cultural pirate dayExpired
Skolegade 1, 4220 Korsør
A local myth from recent times is the missile impact in Lumsås. A popular tale about the time when the fleet blew up holiday homes at Lumsås. A dramatic event with international attention that has been transformed into a popular memory and dubbed by Ekstrabladet, the Hovsa missile. A title that makes you want to shrug and smile, because nothing happened…
But it did, and now Museum Vestsjælland and Odsherred Teater dispel the myth.
Make your way past the Odsherred Museum and see the exhibition about the Missile. Here you get to experience the feeling that must have hit the first policeman on the scene. The strange uneasiness and silence there was before you found out what had happened. As visitors, we move further into the exhibition and see a three-metre long model of a Danish frigate equipped with Harpoon missiles. Finally, we follow the journalists' search for the truth and the people's support for war captain Henning G. Olsen.
Watch the broadcast from TV2 East on a visit to the exhibition
