Lecture - HAV, The voice of the sea in Denmark
Klostrstræde 18, 4300 Holbæk
At Kalundborg Museum, a small exhibition is shown with Museum West Zealand's own collection of Johan Thomas Lundbye's (1818-48) art, as well as supplementary works by friends Peter Christian Skovgaard (1817 - 1875) and Lorentz Frølich (1820 - 1908). The three artist friends belong to the youngest generation of the Golden Age artists, and they are all very busy creating works of art that live up to the ideals of the time about depicting the fatherland and its history. These are just different aspects that they emphasize. The exhibition will also contain posters with Lundbye's characteristics of his own and friends' art.
In connection with the Lundbye festival in Kalundborg, a number of talk shows "DON'T FORGET THE MILK GIRL" will also be held. Conversation with the Past 6 - with theater director Simon Vagn Jensen and museum inspector Jesper Sejdner Knudsen about the friendship between Lundbye, Skovgaard and Frølich.
