Lecture - HAV, The voice of the sea in Denmark
Klostrstræde 18, 4300 Holbæk
In the exhibition Little Valdemar's fairy tales, you can meet Valdemar the Great before he grew up. Valdemar is 5 years old, and has just been cared for by the Hvide family. Here he meets the children Ingefred, Absalon and Esbern, who help him find his inner strength through the new friendships.
With the exhibition Little Valdemar's fairy tales, the children get a feeling that their local area is full of history and that they themselves are part of that history.
Most importantly, the exhibition tells a story of friendship. The children must, as good friends, help little Valdemar through his adventures, which are both eerie and fun. Valdemar is accompanied by his faithful dog Saxo throughout.
The story of Valdemar's young years is constructed from the historical sources. To give the story body and soul, children's book illustrator Lea Letén has brought the children to life on almost two meter high picture posters. The lyrics are suitable for reading aloud to the 4-6 year olds.
The exhibition is targeted at the little ones, and kindergartens can book a completely unique adventure together with a museum facilitator. Here is something for both emotions, body and senses.
Children and childish souls can jump and crawl through the exhibition while solving various tasks. Hand alcohol is available and adults are encouraged to help children remember alcohol. The texts in the exhibition are intended for reading aloud, so that the children experience that they get through a whole day with Valdemar.
