Adelgade 23, 4400 Kalundborg
Bakkekammen 45 is a unique private residence, designed by architect Marius Pedersen (1888-1965) for his own family. He lived and worked here until his death. The widow Emma Pedersen lived in the house until 2007, after which the Nordea Foundation donated funds to enable Holbæk Museum to set up Denmark's first museum and knowledge center for Better Construction.
The house has stood untouched with original furnishings and color choices on the walls and doors since 1929, and is now listed.
Hear about the thoughts behind the architectural movement Better Construction and enjoy the many beautiful and well-thought-out details in the interior of the home.
Meeting point: in front of Bakkekammen 40, 4300 Holbæk. Parking in nearby streets where possible.
