Explore ArkæoLAB, an interactive exhibition about archaeology at Holbæk Museum – an experience for curious children and their adults during the summer holidays.
The land of West Zealand hides secrets from the past - can you help find them?
The museum's archaeologists have already unearthed lots of exciting finds, but now we need your help to find clues, solve puzzles and understand how people lived thousands of years ago.
Step into the role of an archaeologist and use real tools to dig, find and interpret real archaeological finds. How do you find hidden treasures? What's hidden in ancient trash? And what can an old clay pot tell us about Viking life?
ArkæoLAB is designed for children aged 8–15 and their adults. You will receive expert guidance from the museum's facilitators, who will give you a vivid insight into the work and methods of archaeologists – from metal detectors to dating.
Come and join us for a few hours filled with excitement, discoveries and lots of hands-on activities for the whole family. The past is waiting for you – are you ready to find it?
It is for children accompanied by a participating and paying adult.
