The Night of the Dead at Slagelse Museum starts with the philosopher Jørgen Rasmussen. He talks about life and death with a focus on the novel about Doctor Frankenstein's Monster.
Since its publication in 1818, the novel has become a myth in itself. Up through the 20th century, the myth was decisively reinforced by the unflinching film adaptations.
What is really at stake in Mary Shelley's original fiction? And how many have actually read it? The novel turns our perception of what man can and should accomplish in this world upside down.
