Lecture by Thuri Kledal from NaturRefugium about the garden as a connection to nature and future generations and about the garden as a place of peace and presence.
The older we get, the more important the nature that is close to us becomes. The garden can evoke memories, create security and strengthen our mental and physical well-being. At the same time, we face a challenge in our time: today's generations are slowly losing the connection to nature and the knowledge of how to care for and nurture it. Therefore, we, who know the joy of the garden, have an important task – to teach our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren how to understand and work with nature.
With practical examples and inspiration, Thuri will show how the garden can become a place where we find presence and balance and build bridges to future generations and give them a valuable legacy: the understanding of nature, plants and the joy of creating something together.
We look forward to an inspiring evening where we can explore together the many possibilities of the garden as a source of connection and learning.
