carmen curlers – stagedOngoing
Adelgade 23, 4400 Kalundborg
With funds from the Danish Palaces and Culture Authority's pool for sites endangered by cultivation, archaeologists from Museum Vestsjælland have over the past 3 years excavated the remains of a looped and plowed giant's house just outside Skælskør.
At this evening's lecture, archaeologist Josefine Gudmann tells about how the excavation came about and about complications along the way. She also talks about drone photography and photogrammatics, which the archaeologists have used for data collection, and she shows pictures of some of the many finds from the investigations.
The event is organized by Sorø Museumsforening.
