Mardi Gras party at Ringsted Museum - come dressed up

Family fun with a Mardi Gras party for the smaller children. We beat the cat out of the barrel and eat Shrovetide buns. Come dressed up and with clothes according to the weather. It all takes place outdoors.

Although the museum is a place of real history, there is not a living cat in the barrel. Today's host talks a little about why there was once a cat in a barrel and what you use a Shrove rice for.

When we have found a cat queen and cat king, there is a competition for the best costumes. We finish with cocoa and Mardi Gras buns.
