Color film on the Ringsted Archive Halle film from 1958

City view from Ringsted

Legendary and humorous color film at Ringsted Archive. The film was shot by shoe manufacturer Herold Halle in the 1950s and is known colloquially as the "Halle film".

In 1956-57, shoe manufacturer Herold Halle often brought his film recorder with him when he moved around Ringsted and the surrounding area.

It turned out that there are films out there, which posterity has almost considered with cult status.

We meet the city's tips, in the best Matador style, with local ingredients on the plate and high cigars.

The Halle film, Vor Egen By, provides one

cozy and humorous picture of Ringsted in the period. A city where most people knew each other. Where life went on quietly,  the sky was blue, the fields green and the gender roles very traditional.

The film premiered in 1958. It lasts approx. 1 hour and 25 min.

Coffee and cake for the film are included in the ticket price. It is necessary to buy a ticket in advance.
