Ringsted Windmill has been on the same site for over 200 years, and it still works. Come to the open house on the occasion of Danish Mill Day.
Morten "Møller", who runs the mill on a daily basis, welcomes to the open house. He shows around and explains how the mechanics work.
The museum's Children's Corner is open, where slightly older children can try their hand at grinding grain and grinding flour on a hand grinder.
Flour from Ringsted Windmill is for sale in the museum shop. Coffee/tea, water and ice cream are also sold here. Enjoy it inside the cafe or outside with a view of the mill.
On Danish Mill Day, there is free admission to both Ringsted Windmill and Ringsted Museum and Archives.
Dansk Mølledag is a nationwide event that takes place every year on the 3rd Sunday in June. Over 100 wind and water turbines are open to the public on this day.
