The last Viking ship?Ongoing
Klostrstræde 18, 4300 Holbæk
City tour in Nykøbing Sj. with the theme of the Middle Ages.
The city was founded in the 1200th century. The Middle Ages were a dramatic period in the city's history.
With a guide who is absolutely knowledgeable about the Middle Ages, we take a walk through the city and visit the city's church, which holds secrets. We hear about them, and we are also told details about why the church can compete with the finest churches in the country.
On our tour around the city, we pass the place in Algade where one of Denmark's largest coin hoards was found. The hoard is connected to a war in which a Norwegian king and the Danish Marshal Stig attacked Nykøbing and Holbæk.
The city walk lasts approx. 1,5 hours. It is not suitable for people with walking difficulties.
It is necessary to buy a ticket in advance.
