The last Viking ship?Ongoing
Klostrstræde 18, 4300 Holbæk
City walk with stories about Ringsted's streets, which are named after famous, distinctive and prominent people, kings and queens.
It is considered a great honor to have a street named after someone, even if it only happens posthumously. On a walk around the city we hear about the person behind the street name.
Here are, among other things, stories about HK Hækkerup, who was a former mayor of Ringsted and was also a member of the Danish Parliament. And about the doctor Daniel Bølling, who also sat on the Ringsted City Council. And about Vilhem Andersen, who was an author and professor at the University of Copenhagen and an honorary citizen of Ringsted.
These three and many other personalities were well-known in their time. They are almost forgotten today. On the tour, their stories and importance to the city are revived.
The trip is not suitable for people with walking difficulties.
It is necessary to buy a ticket in advance.
Meeting point: The Tingstenene at the Square, Ringsted.
