The last Viking ship?Ongoing
Klostrstræde 18, 4300 Holbæk
Visit a bunker together with Sorø Museum, where we talk about the occupation period at a child-friendly level. It's for the whole family, and we finish with cake.
This year marks 80 years since Denmark was liberated after being occupied for 5 years during World War II. On Frederiksvej in Sorø there is a bunker from that time. It is a bunker where one could seek protection in the event of an air raid.
Sorø Museum tells the story of the bunker, sirens and possible air raids in and around Sorø – all at a child-friendly level. Also hear about the blackout, where all the street lights were turned off and there were black curtains over the windows of people's houses.
Of course, we also have to go into the bunker.
It's dark in there, so bring a flashlight or a mobile phone with a flashlight.
We finish with lemonade and a cake made from a recipe from the occupation period, when there were shortages and rationing of both butter and sugar.
It is necessary to buy a ticket in advance.
Price: DKK 40 per person, child as adult.
The ticket includes soda and cake.
Meeting point: The bunker at the Works, Frederiksvej 27, Sorø.
