Lecture - HAV, The voice of the sea in Denmark
Klostrstræde 18, 4300 Holbæk
Archaeologists from Museum Vestsjælland invite you to an open excavation and talk about archaeological traces at the place where the new prison is being built.
The archaeological investigations have produced finds and shown traces of life and habitation in the Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age in the area. Hear about them and see them in the archaeologists' pioneer van at Galgebakkevej 9-11, after which we go out to the field at Skælskørvej 47, where the archaeologists have opened the last part of the excavation.
See it before it is shut down and the archaeologists return to the offices to report.
Note: Footwear and clothing according to weather conditions, dogs not allowed. Not suitable for people with severe walking difficulties. Please also note that there is only limited parking on Galgebakkevej. Parking is suggested at "Land og Fritid"
It is free to participate. No registration.
Note: Unless otherwise stated, this event will be held in Danish
