Permanent exhibitions
The beds that are created will be filled with approx. 175 utility plants. Plants that have been used for medicine, dyeing clothes and in connection with superstitions in the old days.
The garden is planned, conceived and weeded by the volunteer group Lugekonerne. If you want to join or have questions, write an email to Tjo@vestmuseum.dk

Ny udstilling med nedslag i Odsherreds historie
The exhibition "Glimt" is a new type of exhibition that shows impact in Odsherred's history. More than 4.000 years of history gathered in one place!
See, for example, the skeleton from the Iron Age - a woman's grave that has been taken up exactly as the archaeologists found her. She was found at Bobjerg by Asnæs and she is around 2.000 years old.
We are also showing the Algadeskatten - it has never been exhibited before! It is a treasure with over 3.000 silver coins, which was found in Algade right next to the museum in 1930. It is believed to have been buried around 1290.
Finally, we have found some very special stories from Odsherred during the Second World War. For example, you can see the resistance woman Mrs. Gideon's field hospital she had hidden in the attic, to use in the fight against the occupying power.
See also the small children's shoes made of fish skin - there was a lack of resources and the leather went to the Germans, so you had to find something else to make shoes from during the war.
There are many more cuts and unique stories from Odsherred - look forward to experiencing Glimt.
