On Friday, Museum Vestsjælland opened a new and exciting department in Pavillon Tingstedet on Ringsted Torv – in the heart of Ringsted!

Ringsted Mayor Klaus Hansen and Museum Director Eskil Vagn Olsen gave speeches before the mayor was allowed to cut the red ribbon.

The courthouse will be a supplement to the branch of Ringsted Museum on Køgevej. The cafe will sell hot and cold drinks and cake.

Around 700 curious guests stopped by to see the new place during the first day – thank you very much to everyone who came by!

The Tingstedet will be the starting point for city walks and cultural activities that support Ringsted's history. At the same time, the Tingstedet is also a great location for the museum to test communication techniques in connection with the upcoming visitor center for Sct. Bendts Kirke!

The courthouse is open:

Wednesday: 10 - 16
Thursday: 10-16
Friday: 10 - 16
Saturday: 10 - 14

It's completely free to enter. We look forward to welcoming you!
