Museum Vestsjælland has together with Museum Lolland-Falster and Oldenburger Wallmuseum in Schleswig-Holstein formed a museum association.
NORDMUS- connected
NORDMUS-the association was formed on 28 September 2018 as a museum network between museums in Denmark and Germany that work with Danish and German cultural heritage, cultural history and art history.
NORDMUS aims to strengthen cooperation between existing institutions, so the museums in Nordmus can undertake joint projects for the common good.
NORDMUS- the association works for:
- Initiation and coordination of Danish-German museum projects
- Promoting favorable framework conditions for knowledge and experience sharing in the field of museums across borders through the dissemination of information and contacts
- Promotion of PR, marketing and cultural tourism in the museum area across the Baltic Sea
- Information on museum-relevant themes across the Baltic Sea as well as advice to members as well as municipalities, cultural administrations, associations and politicians
- Dissemination of language and cultural competencies in the museum area
