OUR WILD TALES – THE SEA BATTLE AT THE CAPE

Museum inspector Thomas Lund Johansen took part in TV2 Øst's broadcast Our Wild Tales. Here Prinds Christian Frederik told him about Denmark's last large ship of the line in battle against the English. A battle that ended off Odden Havn, where the ship ran aground and later burned.

In 1808, the British defeat Denmark's last large warship in a dramatic naval battle off Zealand's Odde. The broadcast Our Wild Tales tells the story of the defeat, which will definitively end Denmark's status as a Nordic and European naval power.
