OUR WILD TALES – The colonial power's salty herring
Chief inspector for Nyere Tid, Karen Sivebæk Munk, took part in TV2 Øst's vodcast Vores Wilde Fortellinger.
In this edition of Our Wild Tales, it is about the colonial power's salty herring!
In the 1800th century, there was an abundance of herring in the waters off Kalundborg. The herring were salted and sailed to the Danish West Indies so that the enslaved Africans could have something to eat. Today's edition of Our Wild Tales focuses on the connection between West Zealand and the Danish West Indies.
