HISTORY, CULTURE AND EXCITING ACTIVITIES

Holbæk Museum

In the middle of Holbæk's city center is Holbæk Museum - a collection of 12 buildings, which form the heart of the old town. 11 of the 12 authentic buildings are located in exactly the same place as they were originally built - some as far back as 1660. Købmandsgården was moved there later. The fact that the complex has been preserved is completely unique in Denmark.
Once the entrance fee has been paid, you are free to visit the 8 buildings where the museum has exhibitions. The entrance also applies to the Pilot Boat.

You can experience that

In the museum's buildings you will find exhibitions about, among other things, the Occupation, The significance of the West Indies for West Zealand, Holbæk's development and Knabstrup ceramics. You can also see and feel for yourself how the working-class Jacobsen family lived with 11 children in a 2,5-room apartment in the 1940s.
