Relive the school from the old days

This small and unique museum is located in the original Flakkebjerg Preschool in the village of Flakkebjerg south of Slagelse. Here, teacher Mrs. Ingeborg Nielsen taught students from all over the catchment area for more than 47 years. Not much has changed since Mrs. Nielsen started teaching in 1915 and lived as a pensioner at the school until 1979. In fact, it feels as if Mrs. Nielsen has just gone for a trip to the local grocery store. You not only get the story about Mrs Nielsen and the school of the past, you also get the opportunity to sit on the original school desks, and you can try your hand with a pencil or fountain pen. There is a peek into the small teacher's residence with living room, dining room, kitchen and bedroom, which, like the school itself, appears untouched.
