In 1917, Denmark sold the West Indies to the United States. The exhibition "West Zealand / West Indies" tells about West Zealand's role in Danish colonial history.

MALERGÅRDEN

Malergården is one of the very few authentic and pristine artist homes in Denmark. The painter and visual artist Sigurd Swane and his wife Agnethe moved in 1934 with their three children to Odsherred in West Zealand.
