Christine and Sigurd Swane - paths to the good artist life

The Swane family

Content of the lecture

Lecture on Christine and Sigurd Swane - paths to the good artist life.

Sigurd and Christine Swane were both significant artists in the first half of the 1900th century. They met and married in 1910, but the marriage lasted only 10 years. Then they went their separate ways and created two different bids for the good artist life. We take a closer look at the two artists and their letters; as well as the art they created before, during and after marriage.

Lecture by Ph.D. Britta Tøndborg, Museum Vestsjælland.
