Timeline

Two strong and unique voices within contemporary art will move into Odsherred's Art Museum in 2025.

In 2025, Odsherred's Art Museum welcomes Frederik Næblerød and Casper Aguila with the special exhibition Timeline.

The exhibition Timeline is both a retrospective of the two artists' joint projects in Odsherred and also shows a selection of both artists' individual works from the past and present. The artists show video installations, sculptures, paintings, etc. The art that is created when intuitive energy comes into play in the creative processes.

Odsherred has been given a share and a special place in Næblerød and Aguila's artistic work and is a place where they have stayed and worked during the summer holidays over the years.

Both artists were noticed when they moved into a storm-ravaged summer house in Korshage (2015-2017), then into a disused agricultural property in Vig (2018-2020) and most recently with the total installation Places Like This, at Odsherreds Museum, which was created in the summer of 2024.

This type of art storm project usually belongs to the big city and the industrial district. But Næblerød and Aguila have taken this practice to Odsherred and it has caused a stir in the local area.

With this exhibition, we would like to pay tribute to the two artists, show a wide selection of their art and at the same time communicate the art, the artists and their working methods, to the museum visitors.

Casper Aguila Christoffersen (b. 1985, Denmark)
Casper Aguila is a photographer and trained in Fine Arts from the Accademia Italiana in Florence. He works across various media, including film, photography, installation, sculpture, drawing, and painting. His works capture nature and people in vulnerable, almost fragile situations. The works convey the situations from a poetic, but at the same time raw perspective. By combining photography, sculpture and painting, he investigates how these classic forms of expression can in an interaction create space for reinterpretations and new possibilities for the materials.
Frederik Næblerød (b. 1988, Denmark)
Frederik Næblerød graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Næblerød's works work across several forms of expression, including painting, drawing, sculpture, and off-grid projects. His works are expressive and sometimes border on the grotesque. The works draw inspiration from the artist's immediate surroundings, which are converted into a wild, trembling energy from the life, people and things he is surrounded by. An energy that creates relevant works with a wide range of motifs, sizes, materials and message.

The exhibition can be seen until October 19, 2025 at Odsherreds Kunstmuseum in the museum's opening hours.
