Join us on a guided tour with a fantastic view of the Great Belt. This is where people sailed between Zealand and Funen in the Viking Age and the Middle Ages.
Tårnborg, located on the east side of Korsør Nor, was built as part of a fortification to protect the Great Belt.
This evening the tour goes around the church and the castle bank, where the guide tells exciting stories about what this place once looked like.
Because people sailed across the Great Belt right here, a marketplace and a market town arose, and in the mid-1200th century, Tårnborg Church was also built.
The area was then part of Valdemar the Great's crown estate.
Successive kings, including Erik Menved, took up residence at Tårnborg, where he held the Danish court around 1308.
In the mid-1400th century, Erik of Pomerania demolished Tårnborg and moved the fortification of Storebælt to Korsør.
Join us on a beautiful evening tour and discover the history behind an unusual place.
It is necessary to buy a ticket in advance.
